I purchased items using a gift card I had received. The associate said the card was no good and I would need to contact customer service. She said having the receipt would be helpful. the card was a gift with no receipt attached. another associate saw me calling and stepped in. It took 15 minutes, however the card was activated and the purchase went through.

Every time I shop online I have a good experience. Shipping could be faster but it's still fine. When I did have a issue they fixed it right away. Anytime I needed to return something it was simple and fast in store.

Placed clothing order on May 4 for…

Placed clothing order on May 4 for business attire needed for trip beginning May 21. One of 2 items arrived perfectly on time and I'm pleased with look and fit. Other item to be shipped separately. Fine. To arrive May 10. Still fine. On May 17 I realized I was running out of time and gave up waiting. Bought similar item at Belk for HALF the price. Macy's won't cancel their order because, they say, it has shipped. But info at tracking number says it has NOT shipped and estimated arrival date is still May 10...which was 9 days ago. Called, couldn't get through to a human. Chatted with an IDIOT, probably a bot, no luck. Worthless customer service!


The most incompetent delivery I have…

The most incompetent delivery I have ever used. Bought a pair of shoes for a wedding this weekend on Monday with express shipping. Was meant to be delivered on Tuesday. Was delivered on Thursday… and it was the wrong pair of shoes. Now I have to take time out of my day to return the WRONG pair of shoes otherwise they will charge me. I have a toddler and a busy job and no time to do this nor buy a new pair of shoes from elsewhere. Do NOT SHOP at Macy's online. Do not. Go elsewhere! So many other companies to get cheap shoes from.


Bad service

It's sad that I'ma platinum customer and had a very bad experience with Macys. Apparently if you bought something online using a gift card, Macys system has a glitch of not refunding you the money. I have called Macys several times, went to the store where the representative even showed the Macys system stating that the return was received and never processed. They still haven't returned my money.

For starters if I could give it a negative review or negative stars I totally would give it -5 stars for my experience in the store tonight. Eyes shop at Macy's all the time pretty much every city that I go to the house Macy's I'm there because I'll love to catch all of their deals. I mean who can beat stacking coupons besides Kohl's Macy's it's been pretty awesome my aunt taught me how to shop Macy's and get the best for not so much money. Tonight I went to Macy's last minute I had about an hour and a half to stop but I had to do a return first. So I went to do my return. Bathing suit issues! So I went to check Macy's options While I was there. Everything looked fine I actually found some clothes that were size extra small or should I say swimsuits that are size extra small I grab a few small And a few extra small right into the fitting room I went. I'm in there I have about five or six bathing suits for five pair of shorts a nice long dress size small but fit like a large definitely did not get that also had two pair of jeans which were size 0 one ended up being a double zero so that was never going to fit me. So here comes a lady little Asian lady knocking from door to door anyone in here anyone in here anyone in here checking all the doors all the rooms collecting all of the clothes that were left behind gets to my door knocks yes I'm in here but just a minute soSo I'm collecting all of my items the two bathing suits I chose and all the rest of the stuff I put on the rack right outside the dressing room where all the returns went before that there was a lady standing outside of my dressing room, I thought she was a customer I thought the lady knocking on the doors was looking for a room for her to try and close I had no clue that it was that close to 9 PM. So I collect everything walk out this lady follows me out the dressing room I hang all of my clothes and proceed to the register with two bathing suits that I chose also here's the same lady following me to the register I'm just gonna go ahead and say it she was a very mean looking woman does it matter that she was a black lady I don't know does it matter that I'm a white lady I really don't know at this point race should not really matter. I turn around and ask her do you work here she looked me up and down three or four times and said yeah I work here rudely. Me I kept my Calm cool and collect but what I should've done is not purchased anything from her rude ass and left then let this review and went back and got my items another day when I didn't have to deal with someone treating me the way that she was. This lady was staring at my clothes and then checking out my shoes and looking me up and down as if I was stealing something. No let me tell you before I went into the store I already took a selfie of myself which was super cute and you can see the layers I had one to one bodysuit one T-shirt over it and my jacket over that it A light throw over jacket now she's looking at me as if I stole those clothes and she would've went and did her research before she came to rudely watching me and staring at me and talking to me rude she could've went watch the camera and seen that I had on the same clothes I had that I walked into the store with see I'm getting upset so anyways needless to say I spent 180 something dollars on bathe two bathing suits they will be going back tomorrow and I will be filing a complaint tomorrow I would never recommend anybody go back to this Macy's and never want anyone to feel as bad as this lady made me feel even as I'm walking out the store she's staring me up and down. Little did she know, Little did any of the associates know at this store because it's none of their business but I just came out of surgery 12 days ago I had surgery on my lower abdomen area so of course my stomach is wrapped up and that's why I wear the onesie outfit that helps me feel more secure so yes it did take me a little bit of time in the dressing room to get my clothes on and off and yes I wore multiple layers of clothes but you cannot tell me how much clothes I can wear & how much & when and where you don't tell me how to run my life so don't be looking at me like you like you looked at me. You should've looked in the mirror before you left the house today that's all I'm gonna say about you. Because you look like a raggedy ann doll, not one that somebody wanted so stop judging people. People I would not recommend you go to Macy's store in Dough Co Sacramento because there you will find a very rude team there you will not find me anymore and I would rather return my bathing suits and take my $200 somewhere else to spend I will no longer be a Macy's customer. I will suggest to all of my friends & social media to do the same thing we all have a right to look how we want to look without judgment without someone treating me like crap don't talk to me like I'm below you go in the mirror and talk to yourself & learn how to speak to people ! Karma is real!!


I purchased shoes six month ago which…

I purchased shoes six months ago which are no longer wearable. I only wear them to work and they have completely fallen apart. I merely want to exchange them for a new pair. They are refusing to do anything at all as they are saying it falls out of their 45 or 90 day return policy. These days vary depending on who you're speaking with.


Non-existent customer service.

They lied and said they shipped my order but they didn't. Only a label was created and it never even left the warehouse. There is absolutely no way to talk to a customer service representative. They only offer a fake automated online bot to talk to instead of an actual person. I tried calling the customer service number & they're all "busy." I'm never ordering or buying anything from Macy's ever again. They are extremely incompetent and sketchy. Even the employees that work inside the Macy's stores at malls are rude and unhelpful. If I don't receive my order by the end of this week I will be disputing the charge with my bank and I'll also be reporting Macy's to the Better Business Bureau.


Macy's keeps losing customers

I went to buy jewelry today. My credit card was declined. I called Customer Service and they told me that my card had been canceled due to inactivity. They didn't communicated this to me beforehand. With the pandemic, I haven't been to Macy's that often, and, let's be honest, their clothes have lost quality. I didn't find anything I liked. The Customer Service representative was curt and slightly rude. She told me to apply again. Why would I? That sounds masochistic. Anyways, they keep closing stores because of low sales.


Bait & Switch

I get Star Rewards coupons good for discounts on regular, sale and clearance. Tried to use one today - not part of the miles long list of exclusions - and was told it wasn't eligible because my items were "specials." The good old bait and switch tactics. This store has sunk to new depths and I'm not shopping there anymore. Also it took a good part of 30 minutes to check out with one cashier and only 3 people in front of me. Can't wait for self checkouts in stores like this.

Horrible customer service customer service

Horrible customer service, I was on phone for I whole hour, and They hang up on me twice telling I would have to speak with another department and hang up. Noone knows what they are doing!!! horrible experience!!!


Ruined My Mother's Day

I ordered a pair of Monique Trainer Michael Kors sneakers (pink and green) in size 9.5. I picked the shoes up yesterday and this morning I opened the box and they were a a 6.5. I went to Macy's to return the shoes and exchange them for the correct size that I ordered and was informed they don't have the shoes at all.

This was my Mother's Day gift but now due to Macy's employees not paying attention to details, I have to suffer. Shame on You!!

I bought a sofa from Macy's with their…

I bought a sofa from Macy's with their worry no more warranty. Well, I am worried! The sofa is three years old and the two back cushions are crushed and need to be re-stuffed. After hours on the phone and many transfers, I have been told this is not covered. My husband and I are over 70, have no kids, are of normal weight and sit on the sofa in the evening. So disappointed in Macy's. Never buy their furniture and if you do NEVER by their warranty as it is useless.

Placed an order on the 21st and it is the 7th and the package still hasn't arrived. Called and was told that I would have to wait 10 days before I could place a new order. Wasn't happy, but ok, that was already day 7. Called back 3 days later and now they're telling me that I can place a new order, but still have to wait an extra 5 days before the package can be shipped because the mail service says that there is a delay, due to high volume. Customer service representative was rude and got an attitude with me when I asked why I have to wait an extra 5 days when it's already been almost 3 weeks since I placed my order.this is BAD BUSINESS!!! I will never shop with this ridiculous company again!!!
